Join us to celebrate Vaisakhi, the harvest festival, the traditional solar New Year for Hindus, to explore the history, customs, and ceremonies of Vaisakhi, to gather to socialize, and to share beautiful music, classic poetry reading and share festival food.

Vaisakhi（IAST：visākhī），也被称为Baisakhi，Vaishakhi或Vasakhi，锡克教的光明节/丰收节, 是印度锡克教传统的节日，也是印度很多地区新年的起始日和丰收节，通常在每年的4月13日或14日庆祝。
光明节这一天，世界各地的锡克教教徒会聚集庆祝。最初，它是为了庆祝“善良战胜邪恶”或者“光明战胜黑暗”。后来，印度光明节也被看作“内心之光”的丰收庆典。光明节还有一个意义，是纪念锡克教的领袖 Sri Guru Gobind Singh 于 1699 年建立 Khasa 的宗教庆典。
加拿大是个多元文化国家，各个生活在这里的种族都有各自庆祝节日的独特方式。也正因为所有人对于不同文化的包容和欣赏，每当这样的节日来临，都会变成一次热闹的全民大狂欢。
每年这个时候，在印度人和印裔加拿大聚居的温哥华及素里都会有非常大型的光明节庆祝巡游。光明节大巡游是卑诗省最大型的街头节庆之一，即使不是锡克教徒，也可以来欣赏各种歌舞。
